Chuck and company return to the present day

Story[]
In Castle Frank N. Stein, Professor Frank N. Stein is beside himself with worry. He's done something even worse than burn his toast, he's caused the Poople Plague in Medieval Swansea. Both Igor and Chuck D. Head think the boss has lost his mind but they humour him by following him to the dungeons. There, they realise that the Prof has created a time machine! The four of them bundle through time and arrive in the Swansea of olde. Frank realises that the last time he used the machine, he fell on top of Doctor Daffyd Leek, the one history says saved Wales from the Poople Plague.
Hearing the unmistakable sound of somebody suffering from the plague, Frank grabs his medical bag and rushes to carry on Leek's duties. Inside, Stein tries to examine a man called Gareth. His first impression is to give the patient some Bicarbonate of Soda but he refuses the "fizzy drink" and would prefer a leech or a fish to sit on. From out of the blue, Daffyd Leek storms in to save the day. Furious with the imposters, he prescribes a course of leeches with every meal and a fish to sit on for three days. If that doesn't make things better, he proposes a course of barnacles. Daffyd leaves but Frank isn't happy and offers some headache tablets. Blodwyn angrily rebukes him, saying Gareth doesn't want to sit on them.
Suddenly, the time machine pulls the Transylvanians back to the present, their time being up. Frank is satisified that history has been preserved and Wales has been saved. Later that night, it seems that Frank has caught the pooples. Witnessing the undoubtable first symptoms, Igor rushes out to the fishmongers.
Trivia[]
- This is the first and last mention of a time machine being built by Frank, despite Chuck saying Frank had been going on about it.
- The people of Wales don't bat an eyelid when Chuck and co. appear out of thin air, even in a time when witches were burnt at the stake...
- Frank is happy that history has been saved, despite him potentially changing things with his crazy therapies.
