Issue 32 is the thirty-second edition of Sonic the Comic. Released on the 6th August 1994 at the price of £1.10, the issue contains four original stories (two of them new) as well as several features.

Strips[]

Sonic the Hedgehog[]

The Unbeatable Foe is a complete story written by Lew Stringer, drawn by Casanovas and lettered by Ellie de Ville. The Emerald Hill folk are relaxing in the Emerald Hill Zone when they are interrupted by The Mysterious Traveller. Sonic and Tails arrive to send him back to Doctor Robotnik with his Inter-Zone Exchanger, but Tails falls for it and is trapped in the Misery Zone. Sonic is forced to deal with a Misery inhabitant in Tails' place, but eventually swaps them back before the monster can destroy Sonic's home.

Mutant League[]

Bring Me The Head of Coach Brikka is a 6-part story written by Steve White and Brian Williamson, with art from Anthony Williams and Williamson, plus letters by Tom Frame. K.T. Slayer is on his way to deliver Coach Brikka's head to Zalgor Prigg whilst the Midway Monsters fight an army of freelance players. After a few commercials, The Razor Kid arrives to help Bones Jackson with a deadly tank.

Sonic's World[]

No More Mr. Nice Bug is a 3-part story by Mark Eyles, Mike Hadley, John M Burns and Elitta Fell. Sonic has installed a Nicenik virus into several Moto Bugs, leaving Cam and Bert, B.A.R.F. operatives, to clean up the mess. Cam eventually erases the problem, but a Trooper informs them that two Niceniks have escaped.

Pirate S.T.C.[]

Pirate S.T.C. is a 6-part story by Stephen Bliss and Steve Potter. Sackhead, Flame and Dog the Chicken are on their way to save their friends and rescue the Tronic Twins. Elsewhere, Granee 8 Ball is about to use Grrrr and Bob's brains for her experiments, but the heroes arrive to stop her. However, Skull has introduced the Y-Not Y Front Man to the battle, rallying the other fallen combatants for a final showdown.

Features[]

Megadroid introduces the Control Zone by promising free gifts in Issue 34 and Issue 35. After the stories have been mentioned, celebrities take centre stage at the Sega/Capital Radio Roadshows, with Badboys Inc., Tony Di Bart, E.Y.C., Dannii Minogue and Kenny Thomas snapped with Game Gears. The Sega Charts show that FIFA International Soccer to be still top of the Mega Drive list, but fellow football game World Cup USA '94 is now top for the Game Gear. Ground Zero Texas has re-entered the Mega-CD chart in first and World Cup USA '94 has also edged back to the top of the Master System pile.

The aforementioned World Cup game receives the lowest score in this Review Zone, with Jenny Fromer advising against this 80%-rated game. Elsewhere, David Gibbon awards RBI Baseball '94 84% and Combat Cars 93%. Garry Penn mans the News Zone, giving early details on Sonic & Knuckles, as well as previewing Dino Racers and The Simpsons titles Virtual Bart and Itchy and Scratchy. Short Bursts mentions the 32X, Batman Forever, Dropzone, Flink, Hardcore and Probotector.

Chris Jones is responsible for a special Speak out Zone, asking Boomers what they think of expensive conversions like Virtuas Racing and Fighter. Gibbon returns for the Q Zone in the first part of an Eternal Champions, providing tips for using (and countering) Jonathan Blade, Jetta Maxx and Larcen Tyler.

Speedlines features letters about the lack of Sonic cartoons in Wales, giant pin-ups, a hayfever sufferer requesting a prize and lack of continuity regarding shoe colour between cartoons. Printed letters and pictures won their creators a Tomy Sonic the Hedgehog Water Fun Game.
